Biography
Stanislav V.Klimenko is currently Director of Institute of Computing
for Physics and Technology, full professor and chair of System Integration
and Management at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
He is also chief of System Analysis Laboratory
at Institute for High Energy Physics(IHEP).
His research interests include Scientific Visualization and Data Analysis.
Klimenko received degrees: MS --- at Moscow Institute of Physics and
Technology in 1966, Candidate of Physics-Mathematics Science --- at IHEP
in 1974 and Doctor of Physics-Mathematics Science --- at IHEP in 1986.
He was elected as Professor of Computer Science at MIPT in 1992.
Stanislav Klimenko was a member of International Program Committee
of several conferences Visualization'xx and Eurographics'xx, he is also
Chair of Program Committee of GraphiCon'xx.
He collaborated with scientists at Arizona State University,
GMD --- German National Research Center for Information Technology,
and University of Kaiserslautern(Germany).
Klimenko is on the editorial board of ``Computer & Graphics''
and of Russian Journal ``Programming''.
He is a member of the Eurographics, he is a senior member of the IEEE,
and a member of the ACM and AMS. Klimenko often serves as an expert to be on
Russian and European level committees dealing with Information Technology.
He has guided a number of doctoral students in the fields of High Energy
Physics and Computer Science.
He was a director of several successively completed international projects,
supported by INTAS, Ministry of Science and Technology of Russian Federation
and Russian Foundation of Basic Research.
He received USSR Council of Ministers Award on Science and Technology in 1984.
He has lectured and published on the different topics
of Data Analysis and Visualization.
